A letter from beloved mom...
When I get old, I won't be who I was.
Try to understand me and be patient with me.
When there's a soup stain on my clothes,
When I don't remember anymore how to tie my shoes' laces
Remember how I taught you all of those when you were young
Whenever I keep repeating my words on something until you get tired of listening
Be patient in listening,
Do not interrupt me when I talk
I repeated all bed stories for you before you went to bed whilst you were still young.
Whenever I need you to bath me,
Please do not get upset with me.
Do you remember, when you were young, I had to use all my ways to get you to take a bath?
When I do not understand about technology at all and new inventions,
Do not look down on me.
Think how I used to be so patient in answering to all your "why?" questions
When I cannot walk, give me your hands and carry me.
Like when I did to you when you started learning how to walk.
When I cannot recall our conversation,
Give me times to remember them.
To me, the most important thing is that to have you by my side to listen to me
When you see me getting older, do not be in sorrow.
Understand me, support me, like I did to you
When you started learning to live your life.
How I gave you directions in living your life,
Now, accompany me to spend the rest of my life.
Give me your love and your patient,
I will give you my blessing smile
Behind my smile, there's unconditional love for you :)
