The very so uncool demonstration
I know I know the oil price will go up in no time. I don't say it won't affect me 'cos it will...but I mean come on, no need to do a big demonstration. We cannot always blame the government, can we? It's not their fault this time around. All over the world suffer what we suffer. The oil prices have gone up everywhere, that is including here in Indonesia. But how come only here that people start protesting, shouting the unfairness and so on? Based on what I read from detik.com, they also voiced their protest over some law that according to these people need to be abolished. I wonder if they do understand what they are demonstrating all about or what they are protesting against. I do believe they do not even know what's going on. They just follow the others without even knowing what they really want or what they are pursuing. How can they protest something that really has no solution? I do think they are wasting their times and efforts. How many of them did skip from works and schools to gather all the masses for demonstration today? I really do not understand what's in their minds.
I am not against any demonstration as long as it is done in a good way and appropriately and they do know why they are doing what they are doing. I lectured my employees about the disadvantages of demonstration. I told 'em, there's no use of you joining the line-up and you already knew what the result would be. The price will still increase, no matter how hard or how sincere you are protesting the government. They cannot hear people's voices when these people do not even understand why all the prices will go up.
I am hoping the demonstration will go peacefully. So far, today, it's gone that way...I am betting there will be another demonstration by tomorrow and will be bigger than today.
