We had had a girl night out, me, Maria and Wewe. We went to TP to have some sushi (and ya know me, always ordering plenty of food and can’t even finish ‘em in the end). We ordered 3 rolls and calamari. After dinner, we were supposed to have some coffee but since the place was so quiet and only few people were there, we decided to have the infamous ‘es kacang ijo’ @ Tidar instead. Wewe and Maria decided to share the ice and me, yeah being the greedy one, wanted a whole portion for myself and again, I didn’t finish it ;P
@ night, I spoke on the phone with Iswa. It’s kinda strange that we talked about how we’ve grown up to be who we are today. The most interesting discussion was about how our parents set some rules that we tended to disobey in the beginning and today we realised how important they were. One that I must agree with Iswa’s opinion was about the rule that we have to go home first after work or school before we go somewhere else and it doesn’t matter if we only stay home for 5 minutes. I used to think that this rule was quite weird and it didn’t make sense. But today, I realise, our parents were just trying to educate us and keep reminding us about ‘home’. No matter where we go or where we travel, we always remember home because of this rule by our parents. Then another thing was about the rule where I cannot have sleepover my friends’ places or even my own cousin’s place. I was paranoid about this one. I didn’t understand back then. But after talking to Iswa who happened to get the same rule by his parents, now we realise, it’s just a way our parents telling us that no matter where you go and what time you finish, you have to go home. Not sleeping over somewhere else like you don’t have home. Because of this very educational thing my parents taught me, it makes me wanting to go home even though after going out till late. No matter what time it is, I still wanna go home and I am glad I am being educated this way by my parents. Thanks mom and dad...sorry that I didn’t appreciate the rules earlier but now I do. I know how important it is and I am planning to do the same thing to my kids in the future. To always remind them of their home no matter where they are...
